Job Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer in the datapath team, you will be responsible to design, implement, and enhancing Netskope Cloud Access Security Broker [CASB] and Next Gen Secure Web Gateway solutions and solve some of the most challenging cloud access & data security problems for enterprise customers.

Job Responsibilities

Enhance Netskope’s cloud based security solution for the enterprise SaaS applications.
Design and implement high performance, highly scalable/reliable data path security solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain Netskope’s CASB and Secure Web Gateway solutions.
Monitor, analyse and improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of Netskope’s cloud datapath services.
Collaborate with the product managers, the signature team, and translate the requirements to engineering design spec and enhance the DPI engine to support the requirements.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders/large cross functional teams as part of work delivery. Work with customer support & quality engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with rapid turnaround time. Work closely with the SRE/Operations teams to effectively monitor health of the services across all data centers, support them identify and mitigate issues as well as during cloud release rollouts & upgrades.
Plan, research, innovate & recommend new solutions/technologies to improve Netskope’s Next Gen Secure Web Gateway solution.
Involve in the complete product life cycle starting with research on various requirements, understand/define functional specs, convert them into concrete design and implement with high quality.

Preferred Qualifications

E /B.Tech /M.Tech degree from a recognised and accredited university/college.
Minimum 8 + years of work experience in the areas of network or cloud security solutions product development.

Preferred Technical Skills

Solid programming background with object-oriented programming skills.
Excellent programming skills (design, coding, and debugging) in C/C++.
Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, web proxies, L7 DPI solutions, TCP/IP networking.
Exposure to various development/debugging tools (e.g.github, gdb, make, profiling, memory/debugging) on Linux/Unix.

Desired Technical Skills

Python programming experience.
Familiarity with web data formats like JSON, XML, MIME, etc.
Knowledge of DLP & encryption techniques.
Experience developing enterprise-class security products such web proxies/firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc
knowledge of CI/CD & Dev-Ops tools.
Docker/k8s knowledge.
