Staff Accountant - VideoAmp

As a key accounting team member, the Staff Accountant will support the month-end close process, as well as participate in accounting research and ad hoc projects as needed. The ideal candidate is
ambitious, curious, motivated and detail oriented. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and will perform regular and frequent accounting processes, collaborating with other members of the finance team and other business stakeholders. This role requires a strong foundation in month-end close, general accounting principles, and consistent exposure to technical accounting topics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Maintain supporting schedules for various accounts, and assist with discrepancy resolutions and other research
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce manual effort
• Assist in the design and implementation of internal controls
• Ensure compliance with internal controls is documented
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Financial Planning and Analysis
• Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility
• Support the Assistant Controller and accounting team in evaluating accounting treatment and ensuring processes support accounting conclusions
• Ad-hoc projects, including research, analysis, and reporting, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• CPA license preferred
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP and financial accounting fundamentals
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, deadline-oriented, having a keen attention to detail, and ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely fashion, independently, and with minimal supervision
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
• Experience with NetSuite preferred

This position pays a minimum base salary of $69,000 + Bonus/Commissions + Equity + Benefits. The actual compensation offer will be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, and experience.
