About The Role
Agility is building a Performance Testing team to ensure that our hardware and software are thoroughly tested and continually monitored.
About The Work
- Experience in leading the development of large scale automated and manual testing strategies for a complex robotic system.
- Implementation and use of automated testing tools.
- Developing and documenting testing proposals to stakeholders
- Analyze, diagnose and identify the root cause of applications performance issues. Prototype and implement necessary changes in order to resolve the performance issues.
- Recommend, design and develop techniques which will improve performance, ease of use, and manageability.
- Demonstrated proficiency in metrics and working through data sets
- Conduct performance testing and evaluate the test results. Identify concerns as well as points of contention from the benchmark as well as present a summary of the benchmark analysis to developers, systems integration engineers, and architects.
- Develop and extend custom applications using the relevant technologies.

- Provide hands-on leadership for a growing Performance team, coaching technicians and testers to help them develop their skills and careers
- Removing roadblocks and recognizing the power of autonomy and ownership of each individual contributor in their teams
- Work with developers to make hard-to-test features more testable, mentors the team on testing strategies and technologies, and can coach the team on exploratory testing across the product
- Lead the team to not only assist with testing, but also investigate complicated production issues, and work on the product directly
- Push the limits of the system, exposing bugs and performance limits. Break things so they can be fixed.
About You
- A B.S. or M.S. in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar field
- Experience working with various sensing technologies (monocular cameras, stereo cameras, lidar, IMU, etc.)
- Exposure to standard agile and software development processes (issue tracking tools (Jira), feature branching, version control (Git), continuous integration and deployment)
- Strong programming abilities in a modern scripting language – Python required, C++ experience preferred.
- Enthusiasm for learning about Digit’s hardware, software stack, and principles of bipedal robotics
- Six or more years of experience in leading testing services in multiple technologies
- General project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
- Experience leading testing teams, including mentoring and coaching and on-boarding new resources
- Proven debugging and diagnostic skills.
- Must be independent, self-motivated, innovative, diligent, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Authorization to work in the USA
