The Summer Internship

At Discord, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. We match qualified interns with projects and groups, based on interests and skill sets and fully embed interns within those groups for the summer.

Internships are paid and are a minimum of 12 weeks, targeting a start date in June to accommodate varying school calendars.

The Team

The unified vision of client platform organization is to continue building a performant client app in a faster and reliable manner across all platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop tools and frameworks to automate the development, testing, and deployment of Discord's client applications
• Understand the release process and develop regression detection tooling to triage issues in production quickly
• Contribute to foundational projects that will benefit various performance KPIs

You'll Thrive In This Role If...

• Have familiarity with react native based mobile app development
• Enjoy working on improving overall performance of mobile and desktop applications
• Interest in understanding the end-end mobile application deployment process
• In the process of obtaining a Bachelors (rising Junior/Senior) Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field

Salary of $63/hour*
