The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Social Media Manager to join our team at CoolPlanet. As a Social Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our social media strategy to engage our target audience, amplify our brand presence, and drive awareness of our decarbonisation services. You will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing social media platforms, analysing performance metrics, and driving social media campaigns that align with our business objectives.

What You’ll Do: 

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company's marketing and communication goals.
• Create engaging and relevant social media content across various platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
• Develop a content calendar and ensure regular and timely posting of content to maximize engagement and reach.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and inquiries promptly, and engage with our online community.
• Monitor and analyze social media performance using relevant metrics and analytics tools, and provide regular reports with actionable insights to drive optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively recommend innovative approaches to improve social media effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and content teams, to align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns.

• Manage social media accounts: Oversee and maintain our presence on various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Regularly update content, respond to comments and messages, and monitor trends and user engagement.
• Own our social media strategy and channels: Grow and nurture our social media following. Create, curate relevant and timely posts for social channels. 
• Engage with our target audiences on LinkedIn - share content, grow the follower base, and improve engagement on LinkedIn company pages.

The Right Person Would Have:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in managing social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, community management, and paid campaigns, preferably in the sustainability, cleantech, or environmental sectors.
• Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools, such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative social media campaigns.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
