We’re seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and adaptable individual who can help support a wide range of client projects across various social media platforms. The Social Media Coordinator is a key member of the social media team focussed on delivering client value and success. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will assist with the execution of various aspects of client projects and campaigns across the digital and social landscape. Ideal candidates will be well-versed in social media marketing, have strong attention to detail, and be comfortable in a fast-paced creative environment.

THE ROLE | SOCIAL COORDINATOR

 

The Social Coordinator is responsible for managing and moderating clients’ social communities, curating an audience across various social channels through meaningful engagements, scheduling and publishing approved social media content, and performing research and analysis across culture, social, and media to provide insights and recommendations based on community conversation with a nuanced and of the moment POV on culture in real time. The Social Coordinator will also assist the Social Strategist and Account Managers in monitoring and reporting on industry and competitive trends, campaign initiatives, and community optimization, as well as asset management across accounts.

 

The Social Coordinator is the backbone of clients’ social media communities. Cashmere is social platform agnostic—working on established and developing social platforms—but frequently the platforms with which this role will focus on will include clients’ Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube presences.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Community Management and Moderation:

  • Responsible for the publishing of day-to-day social content across various platforms in accordance with the approved content calendar
  • Manage audience conversation, comments, and concerns across various platforms, actively engaging with communities in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience
  • Work with the Social Strategist to generate and maintain content calendars
  • Provide reporting based on social listening, including sentiment analysis, community trends, insights, and performance results across social media platforms, using social analytics tools like Facebook Insights, Sprout Social, Helixa, etc.
  • Summarize insights and social conversations to create reports that lead to optimization of social platforms that can be reviewed by the Social Analyst and Social Strategist
  • Participate in brainstorms and concept development for social media content calendars, helping to develop ideas for upcoming TV shows, movies and/or music releases
  • Enforce any and all Social Media Guidelines as defined by each client and insure that all posts adhere to social best practices

Community Strategy:

  • Work alongside the Social Strategist to facilitate key content releases, campaign touch point rollouts, special announcements, key beats during campaigns, etc. across social platforms
  • Research the social presence of key talent, influencers, and brand partners for our clients
  • Work alongside the Account Manager and Social Strategist on a project to interpret the direction of strategy/planning requested by the client (includes community management cadence, communicating client notes in calendar, posting cadence, QA for posts for each account, etc)
  • Execute effective community management and associated strategy to meet the objectives communicated by client

Other Ongoing Tasks as Defined: 

  • Coordinate and fulfill tasks for the Social Media Team, including managing internal agency social media platforms, blogs, etc. coordination, research, Float oversight, downloading / asset management,  etc.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies and/or related field
  • 2+ years of experience managing social media platforms or communities
  • Actively participates in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, commenting, etc.
  • Understanding of popular and emerging social networks
  • Experience with content creation and management
  • Demonstrated ability to produce community management guidelines and documents that reflects the holistic understanding and implementation of the role of social media and its effects.
  • Proficiency in social analytics and listening tools
  • Have an understanding of industry best practices and the ability to tailor content appropriate for each social platform, as well as be willing to learn and articulate a unique voice on each
  • Have an editorial lens and be able to manage a content calendar
  • Have an understanding of communities, what makes them tick and be interested in fostering an ongoing relationship on behalf of a brand
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Self-starter, very detail-oriented and has the ability to multi-task, and able to meet deadlines
