Bloom is a full-service workplace design consultancy representing a Ghlee on their search for a Social Media & Community Manager to join their team. As Talent Advisors, we will be the liaison between Ghlee and yourself during this recruitment process. We do not use fancy tech to search through resumes at Bloom; every resume is reviewed by a human to ensure that we attain a consistent and equitable interview process. We’re Varun Sharma and Arati Sharma, the Co-Founders of Ghlee, a ghee-based skincare brand founded in Toronto, Canada.

Growing up in a South Asian home, we spent hours listening to our mom talk about the wonders of ghee一all the amazing ways we could use it in the kitchen, and the wonders it could do for our skin. Fast forward to 2018, Varun started tinkering with all-natural ingredients and ghee to formulate our first lip balm (as per our mom’s suggestion).

And as always, she was right, and Ghlee was born.

We’re working on new products and so much more ー this is why Ghlee needs you. We’re looking for a resourceful Social Media & Community Manager to help tell our story by creating content, engaging with, and growing our community across our digital channels.

The content you will be creating will be a blend of showcasing our skincare products to honouring the stories from our South Asian heritage.

What you will be doing
  • Managing and producing our content on social media platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok), creating and curating a feed that highlights our products, brand, and community stories.
  • Contributing to social media strategy that reflects our overall marketing and business objectives (our goal is to increase online community engagement and sales) while honouring the stories from our South Asian heritage.
  • Collaborating on our overall brand and creative direction for all creative projects.
  • Looking after our community, responding to comments and DMs; ensuring our audience and customers are taken care of.
  • Managing and producing our influencer marketing initiatives and outreach to grow our community.
  • Diving deep into the analytics and metrics to further understand our social outreach.
  • Providing reports with compelling and insightful insights and recommendations.
  • Overseeing our marketing administration, from our marketing calendar to vendor management.
  • Ensuring Ghlee’s unique voice and image are consistently reflected across all our digital platforms.

  • What you bring to the table
  • It would be great if you have experience working within the South Asian community or with a South Asian brand.
  • You have experience managing and executing social media campaigns in the DTC (direct-to-consumer) space.
  • You are a producer, a content creator, a visual storyteller - with an aesthetic eye.
  • You are comfortable being in front of the camera.
  • You are technically savvy with photography, design, graphic, or even animation skills.
  • You are a strong and proactive communicator across any medium (email, video, phone, etc.) to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have experience working with other creative professionals. (Bonus points if you already have a circle of creatives that you work with already)
  • You understand and can cater your work to the tastes of different social audiences.

  • Location
  • We are currently based in Toronto, ON. Due to the nature of the opportunity, elements of this role will require a mixture of remote and in-person work. There may be occasional domestic and/or international travel in the future.
  • Your typical week will be Monday to Friday during EST business hours, however, some evenings and/or weekends may be necessary.
