The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our dynamic HR team. This role is ideal for someone with a creative approach to recruitment and a keen understanding of the AI and tech industry. The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing candidates from unconventional platforms and communities and enjoy building scalable processes in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for technical and non-technical roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates across various levels of seniority and technical expertise.
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top technical talent, leveraging your wide network of connections and utilizing a diverse range of sourcing channels.
- Engage with potential candidates, building relationships and promoting Zencoder as an employer of choice. You should be “in” on the industry, and be an excellent conversationalist.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and the specific skills required for each role. You should be able to qualify candidates at a pretty deep level and provide data-driven recruitment insights.
- Build and refine structured interview processes that focus on competence-based assessments, that quickly bring the best candidates to the final stage while minimizing interviewers’ time.
- Coach interviewers and hiring managers, providing interview training and feedback to improve the overall hiring experience.
- Stay abreast of trends and developments in the AI and tech industry.
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and alignment with company goals.
- Take an active role in HR-related activities beyond recruitment, including hands-on involvement in onboarding, organizing team events, and supporting employer branding initiatives to help foster a positive work environment and strong company culture.
Essential Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a technical recruiter with strong delivery skills and a proven ability to consistently close 12+ technical roles per quarter.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong network within tech and AI communities and a track record of sourcing candidates through creative channels.
- Strong understanding of the tech and AI industry.
- Experience building scalable processes, solid understanding of recruitment metrics and the ability to refine processes using data.
- You thrive on challenges, have exceptional “getting things done” skills, and maintain an upbeat attitude.
- Experience recruiting for senior management roles, as well as in the U.S., is an advantage.
