The MongoDB community is transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps that people use every day. We are the leading modern data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.

The MongoDB Cloud Services Team is a diverse group of contributors working together to help our users manage MongoDB at global scale. We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Insights and Telemetry (InTel) Team within Cloud Platforms. The Cloud InTel Team is responsible for helping our users understand the health and performance of their MongoDB deployments and provide guidance on how to improve performance. The InTel Team works on a variety of APIs and customer-facing UIs as well as internal data pipelines to accomplish this goal, all while maintaining the ingestion of 10+ billion data points per day to back these tools.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City, NY for our hybrid working model.

  • Enjoys collaboration and being part of a team

  • Has written backend systems in a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.)

  • Has experience with the design and architecture of a modern, scalable web application
  • Would enjoy chasing down difficult problems in a distributed environment

  • Previous work in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, particularly maintaining an ecosystem of dependencies

  • Collaborate with and learn from team members about best practices and core concepts
  • Own our core values and adhere to them in your work
  • Write code across a stack of Java, Go, and Javascript/Typescript
  • Maintain a balance between delivering software, and performing research and development
  • Assist in maintaining production systems and debugging live issues

  • Build domain knowledge of our systems and use that knowledge to diagnose issues and teach others
  • Develop and lead software projects that help our users maintain and understand their MongoDB deployments
  • Are willing to learn and contribute to all parts of the stack
  • Represent Engineering while working with Product and Design
