Senior IT Systems Engineer

Job Description 

We are looking to hiring a Senior IT Systems Engineer who will be responsible for (1) the creation, monitoring, testing, and implementation of security applications supporting Rhombus’ infrastructure, processes, and operations, as well as (2) planning and conducting the analysis of security problems with automated systems solutions, and (3) setting up, maintaining, and repurposing physical compute assets.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage business-critical applications in cloud infrastructure like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to coordinate on IT policies
• Build policies and scripts to support company-owned devices
• Develop and maintain documentation for supported applications, processes, and training material to internal employees and IT staff
• Work with all teams to develop automated onboarding and offboarding processes
• Develop tooling and processes to facilitate end-user asset management, provisioning and tracking
• Participate in general IT operations and user support including account management, workflow, log analysis, troubleshooting and service optimization
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal teams to drive initiatives
• Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency
• Provide senior-level technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for engineering and security teams
• Provide senior-level technical direction and guidance to the Information Technology team
• Define, communicate, and manage the execution of infrastructure strategy, standards, and roadmaps based on the current state and short- and long-term needs of the enterprise
• Participate in the enterprise-level IT planning process and ensure architectural designs and principles are incorporated in enterprise implementations

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred
• 5+ years of experience in user support in a cloud-first modern IT environment
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
• 5+ years of experience in IT in a high growth SaaS environment
• 5+ years of experience in user support in a cloud-first modern IT environment
• Advanced knowledge of identity and access management
• Advanced knowledge in one of the following scripting languages - Python or Ruby
• Ability to use GitLab and Jira
