Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Deal Desk Analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deal desk operations and a passion for improving sales efficiency through development and implementation of robust process and documentation. This role will require close collaboration with Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations (RevOps), Revenue Accounting, Customer Success, and Renewals teams to streamline deal flow, and improve contract quality within the organization.
The Senior Deal Desk Analyst will support pricing, quoting, and deal strategy, working closely with sales and finance teams to support creative deal structures within best practices and optimal financial controls.
The role will require ownership of deal validation with focus on accuracy and timely financial reporting, and will drive automation to better support reporting needs within the organization.
Process Development and Documentation:
Develop process documentation to streamline sales operations and improve efficiency.
Continuously evaluate and refine existing processes to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Sales, Legal, RevOps, Customer Success, and Renewals teams to identify friction points in deals and implement effective solutions.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to ensure alignment and consistency in deal management.
Deal Review and Approval:
Review and approve deals, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial guidelines.
Provide guidance and support to sales teams on deal structuring, pricing, and contract terms.
Support pricing, quoting, and deal strategy to facilitate accuracy and excellence in deal execution.
Deal Validation and Financial Reporting:
Own deal validation with a focus on accurate billing and reporting.
Ensure all deals are validated correctly to support error-free and timely financial reporting.
Training and Support:
Deliver training programs and office hours support for sales teams on deal desk processes and deal best practices.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure adherence to established processes and policies.
Automation and Standardization:
Drive continued automation and standardization of deals to support scalability within the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as a Deal Desk Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of sales operations, deal structuring, and contract management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Salesforce, Gong, Google Suite, Confluence, and Slack.
Highly motivated and self-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
