Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounts receivable function of the company. This includes managing the billing process, collections, customer replies and ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue. The Senior Accountant will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support US accounting team in the US time zone.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Candidates should have worked in revenue recognition areas for at least 2 in the last 3- 4 years of their experience.
Review sales contracts on larger/more complex deals to identify accounting issues and to ensure compliance with the company's revenue recognition policies.
Experience should include review of contract terms, determination of milestones for revenue recognition and recognition of revenue as per contract terms.
Experience should include review of entries, finalization of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue in books of accounts and completion of balance sheet reconciliation process for the same.
Create detailed revenue reporting as needed for management purposes.
Experience should include handling audits for revenue and ensuring proper documentation is available for all revenues that are recognised.
Candidates should understand gross and net revenue concepts.
Typically, candidates with experience in handling revenue of SAAS sector.
NetSuite experience would be a added benefit.

Education qualifications:

CA/CA Final, M Com, B.Com in Accounting or Finance (or related field)
MNC experience
2 to 4 years’ experience in Revenue Accounting desired
