We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Regional SMB Team Lead to drive the growth of our (SMB) hub situated in Nigeria however looking after our SSA markets; South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. This role is a key strategic position focused on leading a high-performing sales team to expand our market presence and grow revenue across our suite of digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a strong background in digital sales and a deep understanding of the SSA business landscape.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the sales strategy for the SMB hub, defining clear targets and growth initiatives to maximize market share on our digital platforms.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of SMB Sales Specialists. Provide consistent coaching, performance management, and career development to ensure the team consistently meets and exceeds targets.
  • Market Growth: Drive the team's efforts to acquire and onboard new SMB clients, focusing on selling advertising, SaaS, or other digital solutions. Identify new business opportunities and scale our presence across key sectors.
  • Performance and Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team. Analyze sales data to report on progress, forecast revenue, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, to ensure a seamless customer journey and provide market feedback to inform product development.
  • Market Expansion: Lay the groundwork for potential expansion into new regions, starting with Ghana, by conducting market analysis and developing an initial go-to-market plan.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing a sales team and starting and growing new business units
  • Proven experience in digital platforms, SaaS, or advertising sales.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian & SSA business market, particularly the SMB sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
