Who You Are

Justworks is looking for a product designer to join our Employer Risk team to help build best-in-class risk management solutions for our customers and internal teams. You will drive the design process on your cross-functional team with a Product Manager, Engineers and Product Marketers. You will rely on your systems thinking skills and obsession of craft to solve complex design problems and deliver elegant and delightful solutions.

What You Will Work On

• Work on design projects across the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to conceptualization to delivery and launch.
• Collaborate with product managers to identify and define product opportunities
• Conduct user research to gain empathy for our customers
• Co-create with your product team, design team, and key stakeholders
• Validate solutions through rapid prototyping and experimentation
• Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver high quality experiences 
• Help shape our internal design system with consistency and efficiency in mind

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience designing web-based applications
• Portfolio demonstrating a user-centered design process, and the results
• Experience designing web-based applications with a focus on tools or workflows
• Problem solving skills and an ability to communicate the reasons behind your design decisions
• Appreciation for details, but also a desire to explore broad perspectives
• A passion for typography, information hierarchy, interaction design, and usability heuristics
• Awesome, humble, thoughtful, and possess a genuine care about the quality of what ships to our customers
• Fluency in Figma
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $127,000.00 to $142,500.00 per year.
