Job Description: MicroVentures, a leading equity crowdfunding platform, is seeking a Private Market Analyst to join our Private Transactions team. The team is responsible for managing the secondary investment process from onboarding new sellers to facilitating the close of transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities will include tasks such as researching/analyzing private companies, document preparation, and monitoring the deal flow pipeline. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, high-integrity individual who loves startups, is incredibly attentive to detail, and excels at maintaining order in a rapidly changing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with the onboarding of secondary sellers and companies to our platform
Screen sellers/companies to determine if the investment opportunity is a good fit for the platform
Monitor the deal flow pipeline to determine actionable next steps
Assist with the collection, preparation, and distribution of transfer documents and other related items
Prepare company research reports including industry and competitor analysis
Monitor the secondary market and analyze trends
Prepare company transfer notices and help facilitate closings weekly
Work with operations department to set up wires to sellers
Additional Responsibilities:
Late stage company analysis
Market/vertical research
Staying current on tech industry trends
Monitoring the venture capital and tech startup landscape
Qualifications:
2+ years related work experience in a finance or operations role
Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline
High attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Self-starter
Highly analytical
Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities
