Job Description

Agility Robotics is a pioneer. Our robot, Digit, is the first to be sold into workplaces across the globe. Our team is differentiated by its expertise in imagining, engineering, and delivering robots with advanced mobility, dexterity, intelligence, and efficiency -- robots specifically designed to work alongside people, in spaces built for people. Every day, we break through engineering challenges and invent new solutions and capabilities that will one day make robots commonplace and approachable. This work is our passion and our responsibility: our mission is to make businesses more productive and people’s lives more fulfilling.

About the Team

Our hardware team is small, agile and growing rapidly and we are looking for talented engineers to join us. We are responsible for delivering advanced and reliable designs that meet a complex set of requirements to our customers, including software developers, applications engineers, manufacturing engineers and ultimately to fleet deployment managers. We work as a group to develop new technologies, engineer new products, and refine/maintain existing designs. The team is composed of engineers from many backgrounds and levels of experience. We are organized in small groups, each responsible for high-level subsystems including actuators, torso, limbs, end effectors and battery & charging. We look for anyone who has demonstrated excellence, creativity and passion for their work and who enjoys collaborating with and supporting others.

About The Role

Our hardware team is growing rapidly and we are looking for talented engineers to join our small, agile, world-class team. As an Analysis Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring that our next-generation robots meet the demanding requirements of the jobs they are built for. As a member of our diverse team, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of components and subsystems against engineering requirements. You will develop and apply best practices and work with test engineering teams to develop tests, correlate simulation models, and improve the predictive capability of our engineering team.

About The Work

  • Work with other engineers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the kinematics and dynamics of our robots to distill realistic static and dynamic loading conditions for critical structural components
  • Develop best practices and standards to ensure consistency and quality of analysis results
  • Create and refine finite element models for analysis and optimization of parts and subassemblies
  • Work with test engineers to design and conduct correlation studies that feed into model refinement
  • Analyze structures with complex geometry in limbs, core chassis, head and end-effectors
  • Quickly build and learn new tool chains as necessary to advance the team’s predictive modeling capabilities
  • Guide other skilled engineers with design direction based on your analysis

About You
