Job Description

This is Adyen

Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies. By providing end-to-end payments capabilities, data-driven insights, and financial products in a single global solution, Adyen helps businesses achieve their ambitions faster. With offices around the world, Adyen works with the likes of Facebook, Uber, H&M, eBay, and Microsoft. To maintain our momentum, we need people to join us in finding new ways of solving our unique challenges - people like you.

NextGen at Adyen

As a NextGen in our Amsterdam office, you will dive into the world of payments, turn your passions into practice and kick start your career. We give you responsibility from day one, but we don’t hand-hold. We do freedom, and little structure. We challenge you to start your own projects and optimize processes, while enjoying the freedom to make an impact. We want you to help us change and scale the payments industry - taking ownership and turning ideas into reality. We’re always open for feedback and new ideas. If you have an idea and want to run with it, go for it! NextGen is here to give you the opportunity to create your own path within Adyen.

NextGen provides an opportunity for you as a student in the final phase of your studies (6 ~ 12 months left) to join Adyen on a part time basis, and grow into a full time position once graduated. You will be matched with one of the many teams within Adyen based on your background, interests and ambitions. You will become an integral part of a team, discovering and developing your strengths and skills to support the business.

We take a personal approach: you apply to the program, and together during the first interview we try to find the right position and team within Adyen. Your next interviews will be with the team we see best fit.

Who you are:

  • You have a great sense of responsibility and strong analytical skills;
  • You understand you'll be working with confidential data and will act accordingly;
  • You pick up new information easily, take ownership and are collaborative;
  • You are a student and have the ambition to join Adyen full-time after graduating.

  • You are registered and living in the Netherlands;
  • You are graduating within 6 to 12 months (and currently enrolled in a study program);
  • You are able to work from our Amsterdam offices;
  • You can speak and write English on a professional level;
  • You are available to work at least 16 hours a week.

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments

Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.

Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. Does this sound like you? If so, Adyen encourages you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application.

What’s next?

Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is critical for us. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 10 business days. Our interview process tends to take about 4 weeks to complete, but may fluctuate depending on the role. Learn more about our hiring process here. Don’t be afraid to let us know if you need more flexibility.

Please note that this role is a part-time position in Amsterdam. It will require you to be based in the Netherlands and enrolled in a study program.
