About the Role

As a strategic consultative partner, the Media Operations Manager will advise Media.Monks clients on industry trends and ways to harness different technology solutions to drive long-term value. The Media Operations Manager  will report into our Director, Media Operations. Successful candidates for this opportunity will demonstrate strategic thinking, team development and client management skills that go beyond platform knowledge.


  • Managing a team of up to 10 ambitious and highly-trained account managers working across a variety of platforms, including but not limited to the Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads, Facebook, Twitter,  Amazon, The Trade Desk, plus many more Social platforms
  • Aiding the organisation in running all aspects of display, video, mobile, search and social campaigns as a player and coach.
  • Analysing large data sets/reports and providing insight and expertise for clients on our products and offerings.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Engineering, Sales and Business Ops Teams on projects.
  • Identifying business opportunities and partnerships, growing relationships in depth and breadth
  • Guide career development for team members, including facilitation of project work across non-accounts teams (business operations, content, product, sales, etc)
  • Strategise and improve our media teams' processes and operations as Media.Monks continues to grow at a rapid pace in collaboration with local and global colleagues 
  • Communicate the Media.Monks Vision and philosophy effectively externally and internally, including participation in sales pitches
  • Systematically prioritise between client and internal needs, sometimes balancing competing priorities from different internal stakeholder

About You

  • 7+ years experience in digital advertising, whether at a publisher, agency, trading desk, technology company, or other.
  • 2+ years’ experience in managing a team of at least 4+ people.
  • Knowledge and interest in advertising technologies, trends and where the industry may be headed 
  • Advanced DV360, CM, Amazon, GA360, The Trade Desk, Search, and Social platform knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in-person client meetings and summits
  • Ability and desire to scale knowledge and learning to other junior (and at times senior) team members
  • Expert written and verbal communication
  • Experience in account management, including opportunity identification
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills, rooted in the ability to draw and communicate insights from multiple data points
  • Excellent consultative approach to developing and managing business relationships
  • Ambition to perform unprecedented tasks and obtain new skills, be comfortable with uncertainty and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
