About The Role:
The Manager, Sales Analytics primary responsibilities are scalably forecasting and tracking a high-growth sales business and turning insights into actionable plans. The role requires someone experienced in sales finance or sales operations who can make sense of complex business models and can collaborate well with people of all functions and levels. We will consider candidates from the following states: California, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington.
What You'll Do:
- Own the analysis and reporting on our sales pipeline, sales forecast, and sales KPIs
- Own the structure, process and cadence to scalably deliver sales metrics and reporting to key stakeholders
- Spot critical trends and provide actionable business insights to leadership to drive the strategic direction of sales
- Analyze customer/incumbent data to provide ROI on existing customers and sales strategy for new opportunities
- Lead strategic projects to optimize the sales team’s performance and to optimize the partnership between sales and other functions across the org
- Partner closely with Finance and Pricing to deliver key inputs to their corporate models
- Provide team management
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders on the business and technical side to understand business needs and define end-to-end data solutions
- Build out new analytical tools, dashboards, and data pipelines to support various business use cases, (including analytics, optimization, visualization, and data sharing), streamline and automate the process
- Work with the internal business intelligence and IT communities to explore and develop new data sources and technical capabilities
- Act as subject matter expert on internal reporting and analytical tools, systems and processes.
- Own and maintain data quality and data pipeline/tool performance, suggesting and implementing ways to address data quality and performance issues
- Make recommendations on using new techniques, methods, and tools and initiate projects to improve current process
- Build relationships and synergy with other teams focused on applied analytics and data science on new product/technology innovations
What You'll Need to Have:
- 5+ years in a quantitative sales operations role (Sales Operations, Sales Finance or Sales Analytics); 7+ years of total work experience required
- Extensive experience modeling and reporting on sales capacity and sales performance, ideally in companies with complex sales models
- Proven track record of solving hard problems, from defining the problem through implementation of a solution; strong project management skills
- Advanced analytical skills, including: advanced Excel skills, deep familiarity with common BI/Analytics tools (e.g. Periscope, Looker, etc.), and significant experience using Salesforce.com; proficiency with SQL is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong track record of building strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Experience managing a team
