The Role
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is seeking to hire a Manager of Financial Analysis who will be a key player in driving financial analysis, planning, forecasting, management reporting and budgeting while working with multiple business leaders. We make data-driven decisions based on KPIs and partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability and scalability of our business model. The Manager of Financial Analysis will be responsible for assembling and updating KPIs and various financial analysis used to support operational, tactical and strategic decisions at the C-suite level and play an integral role in the month-end close process. This role will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience through exposure with Executive management and have a significant impact throughout Revel’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various reporting packages, including the monthly financial pack and quarterly board presentations
- Monitor KPIs of key business unit performance and forecast operating metrics, revenue and expense trends
- Leverage our business intelligence tool to create, manage and automate reports and dashboards to monitor the financial performance of the company
- Help businesses investigate and solve complex problems, and allow the companies to make better business decisions through advanced mathematical and analytical methods.
- Partner closely with our Accounting team during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracy and analyze performance-to-plan
- Build strong relationships with business partners (e.g. Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing) to deliver key insights on expense budgets using meaningful analyses
- Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for strategic planning and annual budget presentations to Executive management and the Board of Directors
- Provide feedback and input for improvements to financial systems and data infrastructure by partnering with Accounting, IT and Sales leadership to enhance data quality and accessibility
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, from a leading undergraduate institution (required)
- CPA or Master’s degree is a plus
- 3+ years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience in a high-growth technology sector
- Understanding of SaaS business models and KPIs
- Experience working with data and business intelligence tools such as Domo or Tableau and/or SQL experience preferred
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, planning, forecasting and analysis skills; solid foundation in finance and GAAP accounting
- A deep understanding of financial reporting, P&L management and the budget management cycle
- Ability to influence cross functional partners at all levels
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with good communication skills
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Host Analytics, Domo Analytics or other similar finance and accounting tools strongly preferred
