About the Team

The Pricing & Affordability team at DoorDash is focused on optimizing the balance of spend between Consumers, Restaurants, and DoorDash in order to maximize growth within the 3PD ecosystem. We strive to be the experts on restaurant in-house & delivery margins, consumer price sensitivity, and DoorDash’s own revenue profile to ensure we’re maintaining a best-in-class marketplace that is both competitive but sustainable. We’re looking for teammates who are able to think strategically across all sides of the marketplace, who aren’t afraid of big & ambiguous problems, and who can roll up their sleeves and treat every day like day 1.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Manager, Merchant Strategy - Pricing & Affordability, who will help develop & implement go-to-market pricing strategies for maximizing customer conversion across all DoorDash products and services. Our goal is to grow the business by delighting customers with the best, most affordable options available in their neighborhoods, all while ensuring the economics work for both our restaurant partners and for us. Your job will be to help uncover the pricing inefficiencies across our platform, build the plan required to re-balance the ecosystem, and then implement the change, working cross-functionally with necessary product, analytics, and finance business partners. 

You will report into the Director of Merchant Strategy on our Pricing & Affordability team in our Mx S&O organization.

  • Become an expert on how to balance a 3-sided marketplace, and what it takes to create value across multiple customer stakeholders.

We’re excited about you because…

  • 6+ years of experience in a problem solving role - Consulting, Tech, Banking, Analytics preferred.
  • You have a BA/BS degree in quantitative or business fields.
  • Mastery of Excel/Sheets
  • SQL skills highly preferred
  • Strong history of data analysis, problem solving, and project management
  • You have strong written and verbal communication and presentations skills
  • You know how to optimize and improve processes while designing for scale

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $136,935.00 - $185,265.00 plus opportunities for equity and commission. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
