POSITION OVERVIEW
As Logistics Center Manager, you will oversee warehousing operations within the functional areas of facilities management, safety, shipping, storing, and distribution of goods. You will be hands-on and immerse yourself in the trenches to effectively motivate, engage, coach, develop, and lead the team while driving productivity and growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with Human Resources, hire, train, lead, motivate, mentor and coach the
    warehouse team.
  • Ensure timely processing of customer orders through adequate staffing and training.
  • Coordination with load planners and the transportation team for all inbound and outbound shipments for the facility.
  • Managing the daily workflow through our Champaign facility, with a team of direct reports.
  • Facility management, including assisting to qualify vendors.
  • Create and promote a safe work environment in the warehouse, offices and grounds through inspections, maintenance, training, safety meetings and adherence to all national, state and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all safety equipment and PPE is available and in good working condition within the warehouse for employees.
  • Manage the warehouse in compliance with all company, legal and safety processes and procedures.
  • Document and preserve records, for all inspections and maintenance on material handling equipment, FBN assets and warehouse equipment used on site.
  • Responsible for facilitating, documenting and submitting all daily start of shift, end of shift meetings and reports.
  • Drive to become a subject matter expert with all inventory, warehouse and applicable management systems.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, vendors, suppliers & visitors.
  • Monitor and approve hourly employee’s, automated time entries for payroll.
  • Monitor and coach driver performance, utilizing geotab asset management software.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy. Verify and submit required inventory audit reports.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years work experience in warehousing and distribution management.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast paced environment, while working under pressure to meet deadlines based on customer requirements.
  • Computers Mac, email, docs, sheets, slides, and the ability to learn additional company required software and apps.
  • Must be familiar with and competent to operate most types of materials handling equipment including skid steer.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Time management, and problem solving skills.


PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in warehouse management, administration, supply chain, customer service, or relevant hands on work experience
  • Agriculture industry knowledge is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF technology.
  • Class B license or better with current Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $81.000-$97,00. This salary range may vary based on geography and the higher cost of labor in some metropolitan areas.
