This is Adyen
We took an unobvious approach to starting a payments company, building a platform from scratch. Today, we're the payments platform of choice for the world's brightest companies. Our unobvious approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity, of backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business challenges are unique, we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. So no matter where you’re from, who you love, or what you believe in, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.
Linux Security Engineer
Adyen is looking for Linux Security Engineers for its Infrastructure & Operations team in Amsterdam. You will be working on a distributed, real-time, 24/7 system with interesting performance and security requirements. Your main goal is keeping our in-house developed platform in secure shape. You’ll be hardening, re-building and refactoring components of a complicated, bespoke infrastructure. You like to challenge yourself and your colleagues to secure every part of the stack. Instead of just solving issues, you will be expected to prevent them.
Who you are:
The ideal candidate should have a solid Linux background with broad systems knowledge, know how to talk to auditors and the internal Security team, perform internal penetration tests, work with external pentesters and deploy security best practices. You have a mind-set to take that extra step to make sure all components are configured for maximum safety and usability and can't wait to get your hands dirty. Perhaps most important; you are a true team-player who is open to feedback, and are able to work in a 24/7 environment, diagnose problems, make quick informed decisions and handle pressure.
You probably have experience with some of the below mentioned technologies and concepts, and are willing to learn the others;
- Linux, OpenSSL, SSO, CORS, OWASP, Firewalls, network security protocols, PCI-DSS, UNIX-related network services, TCP/IP networking, Auditd;
- Secure system configuration and administration, load balancing, horizontal scaling, Linux containers ecosystem, core operating systems including network setup and maintenance;
