Lead SDET (Python, Robot framework) - Exabeam

As a Senior Software Developer Engineer in Test, you will have the opportunity to design and develop test frameworks that will test cloud applications and on-prem products. You will play a key role in developing strategy, tools, processes, and frameworks to test individual modules, as well as the complete platform.

In this position you will be joining a very talented and seasoned engineering team. The team has extensive backgrounds in building large-scale data platforms and building cutting edge algorithms to slice and dice data, bringing new, revealing and valuable insights to our customers. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to and work with many new and exciting technologies and frameworks used in our team.

We expect you to have a strong background in adopting or building test frameworks, as well as having extensive working experience in testing large-scale infrastructures. You will also be expected to have a strong background in software quality assurance methodologies, processes, and practices as they work within an agile software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Understand solutions and use cases. Develop test coverages and execute in the most effective way between manual and automated. Stress test automation in the long run
• Be the champion of product quality. Develop, promote, maintain, and improve on best practices for test quality
• Be the customer advocacy.
• Think customer.
• Think end to end.
• Think how an end user would use the product.
• Advocate accordingly
• Understand the moving parts of the system. Build test coverage on both normal flows as well edge cases to ensure the performance and robustness of the system

Requirements:

• Strong experience in building fully automated test frameworks or building test cases on popular test frameworks such as Robot framework, TestNG
• Experienced programming/scripting in Python 
• Strong working knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and well-versed in various types of tests that includes fully automated end-to-end functional testing, performance, and system testing.
• Outstanding problem-solving, logic, and analytical skills
• Familiar with cloud architectures and technologies such as AWS or GCP. DevOps experience is a plus
• Extremely organised in tracking and documenting testing progress and results
• Ability to communicate, collaborate and deliver
• Good understanding of how to improve performance, reliability, and scalability for distributed systems
• Passion for cutting-edge technologies and solving complex problems
• 7+ Yrs. of experience years in testing and automation role
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree required
