Asher Biotherapeutics, Inc. is a biotechnology company developing precisely targeted immunotherapies for cancer and other diseases. We are looking for a Biology Intern who is motivated, collaborative, flexible and with a great attention to details. The position will be opened for a duration of 3-5 months from May to September. The individual will be able to apply immunology knowledge to support pre-clinical development of cis-targeted drug candidates. This is a great opportunity for early-stage career exploration and development in the biotech industry. This position will report to a Senior Scientist in Biology.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and perform in vitro myeloid activation assay with cells from human and mouse origins
Perform flow cytometry assays for drug candidate selection
Assist in data generation in vivo murine studies
Interpret and analyze data in the context of the scientific program
Troubleshooting when appropriate
Keep regular and up-to-date records
Collaborate with team members from the same and different departments such as Protein Engineering
Communicate and report the results internally in a clear and organized manner, with audience having diverse scientific backgrounds

Qualifications

Hold or pursuing a master or Ph.D. degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunometabolism, or related fields
Experience in handling human and murine cell cultures or tissue preparation
Experience in performing flow cytometry assays and subsequent data analysis is highly preferred
Knowledge of basic immunology and myeloid cell biology preferred
Experience in using Spotfire preferred
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. $25—$30 USD

Vaccine Mandate
