Astera Labs is looking for a Head of Corporate Marketing to lead our company’s marketing strategy, planning, and execution.  We are pursuing a passionate, hard-working, and creative individual who has the leadership qualities to enhance the performance of the team they lead, while also taking pride in executing individual tasks on their own.  Preference will be given to candidates who possess a understanding of AI applications and their market impact in addition to working experience with Tier-1 Cloud Service Providers/Hyperscalers. This ideal candidate is self-driven, high-energy, excellent in communication and collaboration, stays on top of tasks, mission focused and outcome oriented.

Duties will include (but not be limited to) leading and driving critical areas of marketing including:

1. Marketing communications and all outbound marketing materials (including digital marketing, social media, corporate web site)
2. Corporate events management
3. Ecosystem strategy including industry-standard organizations and driving a comprehensive partner program
4. Managing internal communication to the entire company

In order to champion our Corporate Marketing strategy, this role demands significant collaboration with the entire Executive staff, Product Line Management, Sales, Finance, Operations, Product Applications Engineering and Engineering. 

What You'll Be Doing

Our mission is to deliver semiconductor-based connectivity solutions purpose-built to unleash the full potential of intelligent data infrastructure at cloud-scale.  This role will drive our entire Corporate Marketing strategy forward in the field of AI and accelerated computing and how Astera Labs’ is driving long-term value and growth in this space with its solution set of PCIe, CXL and Ethernet-based intelligent connectivity solutions.  In order to do this effectively, this person will:

• Create, collaborate, and execute plans that align with our corporate and business goals and easily communicate the values of our company and product portfolio
• Deliver and manage the creation of impactful collateral that easily explains the technical merits and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) value propositions of Astera Labs’ solutions, while also clearly articulating the business and market impact as well
• Drive a Corporate Events plan that maximizes Astera Labs’ exposure to the right audiences (customers, partners, investors, employees, etc.) while also being ultra-diligent about budgets and spend
• Build and nurture trusted relationships with and engage in regularly interactions with executives and leaders at key customers, partners and industry-standard organizations
• Manage Astera Labs’ involvement in industry-standard organizations (both technical and marketing participation) aligned with our product and corporate strategy
• Lead our Cloud-scale Interoperability initiatives and continue our ecosystem leadership by strengthening engagements with the leading CPU, GPU, memory, storage, networking, I/O and software vendors
• Align internal, impactful corporate messaging with the executive team and deliver this company-wide to the benefit of employees and potential new-hire candidates

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of corporate/product marketing-related experience in associated data center systems and/or silicon solutions with demonstrated success in working with PCI Express and Ethernet technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related technical field & MBA preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. Good relationship building skills are absolutely critical, including the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels at the customer, partners and within Astera Labs
• Skills to describe complex technologies and solutions and translate those into understandable business terms and demonstrated business value to end customers, investors and partners
• Solid understanding of emerging cloud connectivity technologies, especially in the areas of PCI Express, CXL and Ethernet.  This includes understanding of trends associated technologies including SerDes, controllers, protocol, fabric, silicon impact, package/substrate, chiplet, power, and systems
• Understanding of cloud architectures, especially in the areas of AI/ML and accelerating computing platforms, and dense data center design including compute, memory, networking, storage
• Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all corporate organizations
