About the Role

DoorDash is looking for a talented Consumer Acquisition Marketing Associate to join our marketing team focused on customer acquisition across paid media platforms and key partnerships.

This role is ideal if you're looking to develop knowledge and skills in the growth marketing space, with hands-on opportunities to work with large budgets on platforms like Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Affiliate, Referrals, and more. You'll be responsible for providing campaign optimisation recommendations, vetting new platform partners, and owning performance metrics and reporting.

You'll work collaboratively with other channel owners on the growth marketing team and work cross-functionally with product, analytics, finance, and brand marketing. You must have the ability to view marketing problems and data from a financial, behavioural, and tactical perspective, and possess excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills. This means high visibility and high impact, with room for career growth on the team. 

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor investment in performance marketing channels
  • Provide regular commentary on the changes in internal and external dynamics affecting performance
  • Evaluate potential marketing investments by modelling expected impact on key metrics
  • Assist in setting campaign goals and optimising performance towards down-funnel key performance indicators while achieving weekly forecasts 
  • Manage pixel implementation, understand web analytics and related paid media tracking
  • Act as a key contact with our external media partners, shaping and iterating plans and executional elements in order to optimise business outcomes
  • Execute and optimise marketing initiatives in support of our vast partnerships (retailers, restaurants) as well as key sponsorship partners (NRL, NBL)

We're excited about you because you have...

  • 12+ months experience managing and executing tactical advertising campaigns on paid social and display acquisition marketing channels, with CPA/ROI goals.
  • Experience using SQL to pull large data sets, analyse complex information, and automate routine analyses
  • Familiarity with the programmatic display and paid social space, including campaign set-up, targeting capabilities, key players in the space, brand safety parameters, and reporting and attribution best practices 
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage analytics and work with complex datasets to understand performance, optimise campaigns, drive decision-making, and measure outcomes
  • Proven ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, comfortable working independently and a desire to learn quickly and take risks
  • Analytically-minded, structured thinker - you get excited when insights jump out of the data
  • Strategic and business-minded - you find trends in your data and look for the “so what”
  • Creative and collaborative - you love working with a team and creatively solving challenging problems
  • Fun - you enjoy what you do and love to have fun!
