About the Team
New Verticals is a new, lean team at DoorDash. We're building and scaling new ways to delight our customers, using the DoorDash platform.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on builder to help launch and scale DashMart.You will report into a Regional General Manager on our DashMart team in our New Business Verticals organization.
We are recruiting for a General Manager who will focus on our DashMart expansion and business growth within Northern California.

- Lead. Recruit, lead, and retain an excellent team of builders and owners. You are a culture carrier and the tone starts with you.
- Build. You'll launch new DashMart facilities and get 1% better every day. This means everything from high-level strategy down to the finest of details.
- Manage. From fundamentals, you'll develop the vision for DashMart in your region. You will guide growth and directly manage the P&L.
- Collaborate. You'll work with multiple teams including engineering, product, design, operations, finance, and marketing to build this new line of business for DoorDash.
We’re excited about you because…
- You are a people manager. You have 3+ years of people management experience leading people leaders (managing leaders with direct reports).
- You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
- You see the glass half full. You want to lead the outcome and positively shape our most important metrics. You have experience leading projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
- You love data. You let data win arguments, and you're comfortable pulling your data in SQL or modeling in Excel (can perform complex functions).
- You do not give up. When a plan does not work, you have three more options in your back pocket.
- You have 7+ years of experience. You've succeeded in expanding businesses (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, logistics, military or a related experience).
- You're open to travel. This role will require 30%+ travel time.
- BA/BS degree required.
- You have experience starting or scaling a successful startup.
- You have an interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
