About the Role:

We're seeking a Founding AI Solutions Engineer to join our team and help maintain our position at the forefront of production-quality LLM application development. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to build and deploy LLM/RAG/agent applications while translating real-world feedback into framework improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customers to design, build, and deploy custom LLM/RAG/agent applications

• Identify common challenges in production LLM applications and develop solutions

• Contribute to the improvement and expansion of our open-source framework based on real-world feedback

• Collaborate with the core engineering team to implement new features and optimizations

• Help develop best practices and documentation for production LLM application development

• Represent LlamaIndex in customer interactions and potentially in the wider AI community

Qualifications:

• Deep expertise with Python and related ecosystem (Pydantic, Poetry, FastAPI, etc.)

• Passionate about applied AI and enjoy building practical solutions

• Adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

• Excellent communicator, able to work with both technical teams and customers

• Hands-on experience building and deploying production-quality LLM, RAG, or agent applications for customers

• Strong understanding of the challenges in production LLM application development

• Ability to translate customer feedback into tangible framework improvements Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Completion of important AI projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building with TypeScript

• Significant contributions to top open-source AI/ML projects

• Competitive programming or olympiad awards

• Quick learners who stay updated with the latest AI developments
