ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Executive Post Producer to oversee and manage the post-production process of our projects. As an Executive Post Producer, you will be responsible for scoping projects, providing accurate quotes, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality content within budget and on schedule. You will collaborate closely with creative teams, post-production vendors, and clients to ensure the smooth execution of projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in post-production, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional content.

Not only should the Executive Post Producer have extensive post production contacts, but they should be someone that grows relationships with outside production partners, while ensuring Media.Monks production processes are in place and are having a positive impact on the work.

The Executive Producer will also be responsible for maintaining regular communication and meetings that include producers and business affairs managers. The EP will maintain senior level contact with agency creative & client engagement. While the work and clients locally will be the primary focus, the EP will work across offices as volume dictates and report directly to the Head of Post Production.

The Executive Post Producer should problem solve in a timely, cost effective manner. They should be able to juggle a multitude of jobs at any time. Familiarity with the daily ebb and flow of an agency along with the knowledge of how to best engage with the many alignment teams spread across several offices throughout the Americas is imperative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scope projects accurately by thoroughly assessing project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams, directors, and clients to understand project vision, expectations, and budget constraints.
  • Provide detailed quotes for post-production services, considering factors such as editing, sound design, visual effects, color grading, and delivery formats.
  • Develop and manage post-production schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery within the quoted budget.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to post-production teams, including editors, sound designers, visual effects artists, colorists, and other professionals involved in the process.
  • Be able to review and provide feedback on rough cuts, edits, and other post-production elements to ensure they align with the creative vision and meet client expectations.
  • Manage relationships with external post-production vendors, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the quality of work delivered.
  • Ensure proper organization and management of project files, assets, and media, implementing efficient data management practices.
  • Collaborate with the production team to track and manage post-production costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and accurate invoicing.
  • Monitor and address any technical issues or challenges that arise during the post-production process, troubleshooting and finding effective solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in post-production, implementing innovative techniques to enhance the quality and efficiency of deliverables.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among the post-production team.
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, addressing any concerns or changes throughout the post-production process.
  • Ensure the final delivery of high-quality content that meets or exceeds client expectations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proven experience as Executive Post Producer or similar role in the advertising, film, television, or media industry.
  • Extensive experience scoping projects and providing accurate quotes for post-production services.
  • Deep understanding of the post-production process, including editing, sound design, visual effects, color grading, and delivery formats.
  • Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and capable of self-managing and multitasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to apply critical and strategic thinking
  • Stress-tolerant, quick-thinking and accurate
  • Able to quickly understand new technology concepts
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills as a team leader and team player
