Summary of Position

The position reports to the CFO but will also actively interact with other senior executives and functions and will have principal responsibility for aligning investor relations and communications strategies and programs across all departments of the Company. The incumbent will also have primary responsibility for executing a value-creating investor relations strategy through interactions with investment bankers, sell-side analysts and institutional investors, and a corporate public relations strategy with a focus on the business and life sciences media and other stakeholders and outlets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Playing a leading role driving investor relations strategy, message development and communications plan, including scientific and medical conference presentations
  • Executing investor relations tactics to achieve plan objectives, including buy-side and sell-side targeting, planning road shows, developing content for and executing analyst days/special events, and attending banking conferences
  • Effectively building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and analysts
  • Monitor and track institutional investor trading in Kronos shares by using data generated by NASDAQ and outreach to capital markets and trading desks at banks
  • Create a media relations plan to increase awareness of company and improve company image in the market
  • Prepare CEO, and other senior executives for media interviews (online, print), to ensure key messages are delivered consistently
  • Prepare investor materials such as company presentations, corporate and earnings press releases, prepared remarks, information kits and contribute to SEC filings as necessary
  • Participate in financing strategy, planning and development and related execution of corporate/finance plan
  • Develop relevant Communications policies and lead employee training on policy and confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA, CFA or advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5-7 years investor relations experience
  • Direct experience in an IR /Corporate Communications role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company required with both clinical stage and commercial stage organization experience a significant plus
  • Thorough knowledge of the financial regulatory and reporting environment for publicly held companies in the U.S. Experience in an international setting is a plus
  • Strong communicator, oral and written
  • Confidence to develop and present ideas is critical
  • Embodies Kronos values; exhibits high degree of integrity and professionalism when interacting with outside investigators and vendors
  • Entrepreneurial and enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative and resourceful small company environment

The expected annual salary range for this full-time position is $265,000 - $345,000, plus eligibility for bonus, benefits, and equity incentives. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, business needs, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
