Brightcove is seeking a driven, passionate, and collaborative Event Production Manager to oversee, plan and execute events across our global event portfolio. This includes in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. As part of the Corporate Communications team, the Event Production Manager will support and report to the Director, Event Production in the planning and execution of industry trade shows, internal events, and Brightcove hosted events such as webinars and customer/prospect events. In addition, this role will also support the planning and production of select video streaming series. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of strategic thinking, flawless execution, creativity, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with business events, with a focus in the media and enterprise industries is highly preferred.
We are open to candidates anywhere in the United States and the position has the option to be fully remote or hybrid. Working standard Eastern Time hours will be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Support in the planning and execution of events and video streaming productions that support the Brightcove global event calendar, inclusive of external and internal events
- Execute all aspects of assigned events & projects, including but not limited to:
- Agenda management
- Timeline management
- Contracts negotiation
- Speaker management
- Vendor acquisition and management
- Logistics
- Trade Show/Sponsorship management; including onsite booth management, staffing, and shipping
- Virtual event production
- Website and registration management
- Budget management, PO, and invoice
- Post event reconciliation and reporting
- Technology sourcing, implementation, and management
- Take full ownership of assigned events and projects from conception to completion
- Communicate across internal teams to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date on all projects
- Conduct in-depth post event debriefs inclusive of event ROI results, key takeaways, and suggested improvements for future events
- Responsible for maintaining an industry knowledge of current industry trends, tools, and technologies
- Source competitive quotes for vendors and venues and offer recommendations based on requirements and budget
- Work with finance and other business team members to ensure purchase orders and production invoices are generated and processed appropriately
- Work with legal team to generate vendor agreements
- Participate in the building and maintenance of the events and project calendar
Qualifications/Experience
- 3+ years of event management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS software or enterprise software industry
- Creative and organized with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional project management skills, with ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Positive attitude with a passion for continuous learning, development and collaboration
- Ability to manage costs efficiently and deliver programs within budget and on time while delivering high quality work
- Self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented
- A proactive, consultative, and problem-solving approach with the ability to create, propose, and implement solutions
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Adopt new technologies quickly
