Anaplan is looking for a passionate Director of Pricing to lead a team of pricing professionals and maximize the company’s revenue and profitability through effective pricing strategies. This strategic leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive pricing frameworks that align with business objectives, market dynamics, and customer value perceptions.

The Director of Pricing will leverage deep market insights, competitive analysis, and innovative pricing methodologies to drive business growth. They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product management, to ensure cohesive and effective pricing strategies throughout the organization. This role demands strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in pricing within the B2B SaaS industry.

This role requires a visionary leader who deeply understands SaaS pricing and market dynamics. You should be a strategic thinker and responsible for ensuring the alignment of value-based pricing models across the organization. Candidates should have prior people management experience and a proven record of building high-caliber teams with strong operational effectiveness.

Your Impact:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional pricing initiatives, coordinating with senior leadership, sales, marketing, finance, and product management to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with business objectives and market demands.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to inform pricing strategies and conduct high-level research and analysis to anticipate market shifts and customer needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team by setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with finance to model the financial impact of pricing decisions and ensure pricing strategies support revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop and present pricing performance reports to the executive team and ensure transparency and accountability in pricing decisions.
  • Coordinate with IT and GTM Operations to ensure pricing systems and tools are efficient and up-to-date.
  • Conduct customer segmentation and identify value drivers to support value-based pricing strategies.
  • Utilize customer insights to tailor pricing strategies that meet diverse customer needs and maximize revenue.

Your Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models and pricing strategies.
  • 10+ years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience influencing senior management and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment where key contributors may report into separate functional areas
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.

Base Salary Range:
$171,000$232,000 USD
