The UnitedMasters team is made up of musicians, marketers, engineers, and storytellers with backgrounds from YouTube, SoundCloud, Pandora, Facebook, Uber, Dropbox, Complex, VICE, and more. We work hand in hand with the award-winning creative teams that forge those innovative partnerships at Translation (our in-house creative advertising agency).

We are looking for a Director, Brand Partnerships to join UnitedMasters! 

 

# What You'll Do

  • Build, develop and maintain relationships with Fortune 500 companies, media and creative agencies as well as artist-endemic brands. 
  • Pitch, facilitate and negotiate 360 campaigns developed from our music platform, creator community, and slate of content & experiences. 
  • Develop, and maintain, a sales pipeline for Brand Partnership revenue in partnership with the SVP, Enterprise Sales inclusive of target prospects, account plans, new products/offerings, packaging and positioning. 
  • Achieve annual individual and team revenue targets through impactful six-figure and above programs that benefit our community of independent artists. 
  • Lead pitch process including deck building alongside discipline partners as well as work closely with the Client Service teams on renewals. 
  • Collaborate with music and marketing teams to publish our external client newsletter ‘Cheat Codes’. 

 

# Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • A generalist that operates as a specialist.
  • Dynamic creative thinking in campaign packaging, new product development, and benchmarking metrics. 
  • Demonstrated ability to make new personal connections and convert mild curiosity into multi-million dollar deals. 
  • Track record closing and maintaining large scale brand partnerships. 
  • History of building creative, scalable and repeatable partnership solutions that push culture forward. 
  • Fluency in the impact of music in consumer discovery, branding and advertising.  

 

# Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years sales experience in media, creative and / or music 
  • Extensive relationships with music and marketing decision makers 
  • Knowledge of marketing activations within culture 
  • Ability to own a room as a representative of UnitedMasters & Translation
  • Travel required as this role covers all of the US                                                   

# Preferred Qualifications

  • Music-obsessed 
  • Located in New York 
  • Comfortable building client-facing decks in Google slides
