The role

You will be part of the Global Brand Team based in our Berlin studio. As an expert in graphic design with considerable experience in the field, you will maximise the potential and creative output of the global design team. You will contribute to growing the team’s skills & identifying each team member’s strengths and weaknesses while improving teamwork, collaboration and all deliverables. You will act as a bridge between the design team and other cross-functional teams, closely collaborating with stakeholders from Product, Marketing, Creative, and Customer Insights. This position reports to the Head of Design.

Skilled to make decisions based on customer and business insights, as well as current design trends, you will also act as an advocate for the power of creativity. Able to oversee every aspect of a project with both efficiency and effectiveness, your role would also be to leverage creativity while meeting the project’s business objectives.  

You need to bring a lot to the table – impressive design and problem-solving skills, an ability to innovate but also teamwork skills like people management, communication, accountability, collaboration, adaptability to change, active listening, empathy.

What you’ll do

  • Build design systems within the Creative Studio Team while translating high level concepts to actionable work and creative guidelines.
  • Direct the design execution across print, illustration, digital, photo and video.
  • Oversee the implementation of the brand CI across all touchpoints while producing core brand design assets.
  • Provides regular guidelines and feedback to the in house creative team to ensure best in class creatives.
  • Build and oversee specialist style guides for the department according to overall brand look and feel based on CI Guidelines.
  • Drive innovation in styles and build design systems scalable across markets.
  • Work on ATL campaigns including TV and OOH as well as performance advertising and social media campaigns and executions
  • Manage a team of designers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments as well as external agencies within an agile development environment.
  • Ensure alignment of activities with brand strategy and values.
  • Champion and drive continuous creative improvement efforts within the team.

What you’ll bring

  • Senior professional with 7+ years’ experience in creative leadership. Agency experience is a massive plus.
  • A strong portfolio of award-winning work (both ATL and BTL)
  • Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma.
  • Experience in Firefly, Midjourney
  • Ability to forecast/plan creative resources grounded in data.
  • Connect creative execution and measure them against business strategy.
  • Budget planning and management experience.
  • Understanding of testing setups and optimisation.
  • Performance-oriented mindset.
  • Collaborative personality, but not too shy to make decisions and be held accountable.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and operate in an international environment.
  • Experience in leading and developing a high-performing Design team.
  • Ability to set and maintain processes and structures.
  • Comfortable in communication and negotiation with Executive Stakeholders.
  • Experience with JIRA or other project management systems.
  • Conceptual thinking.
