Our Copy Editors are individual contributors who play a pivotal role in ensuring that our AI model adheres to the style guide, is impeccably written, and captivates the reader. By enhancing content, you become a key contributor to elevating the overall quality of the model's output. Your efforts directly impact the long-term performance and success of Contextual's product. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Review and Editing: Thoroughly review, edit, and proofread a variety of content ensuring they meet our quality standards.
• Style Guide Adherence: Ensure consistency and clarity in all written materials.
• Consistency and Style: Enforce consistency in style, tone, and voice across all content. Ensure adherence to the company’s style guide and editorial policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with writers to provide constructive feedback and guidance, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging editorial standards, and new tools and technologies in copy editing and proofreading.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in copy editing and proofreading
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Skills:
• Exceptional command of the English language.
• Proficiency in using editing software and content management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
