We’re looking for a CD who specializes in the world of immersive brand events; someone who can concept a big idea, lead the team in spatial design with the consumer in mind, and chaperone the design, fab and build process ensuring that the vision and the reality are aligned. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Serve as the Brand Experience departmental expert in design and fabrication, liaising across internal teams and external partners to bring big bold ideas to life
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and the ideation process alongside other creatives, account and experiential leaders
  • Lead the environmental design aspects on assigned projects of various scales, including creative conception (moodboards), floorplans, renderings, environmental graphics, and construction/technical documentation
  • Lead communications across internal and external teams, owning the responsibility of delivering on the creative concept while serving as the expert in technical realities
  • Serve as design oversight on-site, working directly with fabricators/vendors to ensure that the finished product is reflective of creative intent

 

YOUR SKILLS

  • You’re not just a Creative Director, but a designer/production artist who specializes in environmental, industrial, and architectural design
  • You excel at providing art direction to other designers or outside vendors
  • You have an understanding of and experience in leading all aspects of the design, production, and print processes for live events
  • You’re known for your exceptional communication skills and have a reputation for presenting work and explaining complex technical ideas to internal and external constituents with ease
  • You’re adept at value-engineering according to shifting budget parameters
  • You have the ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines, as well as execute projects from start to finish
  • You have an unmatched passion for collaborative work

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design, Scenic Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or similar training or experience
  • 10+ years experience at an agency
  • An online portfolio of your best work
  • Excellent working knowledge of 2D/3D drafting, modeling, and rendering programs such as SketchUp, CAD, Vectorworks, Cinema 4D, Rhino, Maya, and/or V-ray

The starting salary for this position is between $115,000 and $150,000 annually, based on experience and the Denver, CO market. Actual pay may vary if located in Dallas or Los Angeles.
