This role is a part- time position for NHS based in Port Talbot, Glamorgan. The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time hours per week. Your core responsibilities would be to help assess, diagnose, and oversee the mental health of patients in your care.
Position: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Hours: This position is a full-time role of 40 hours per week
Location: Port Talbot,Glamorgan
Setting: Inpatient
Dates: Immediate start until 23 December 2024Key Responsibilities as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry:
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulating individualized treatment plans for adults with mental health challenges. Leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and person-centered psychiatric care. Overseeing and guiding therapeutic interventions, including medication management, crisis interventions, and psychotherapeutic approaches. Monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed. Contributing to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.

Skills:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Computer literate
Requirements:
- You must have a full GMC licence to practice
- Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
- Section 12/RC approval is essential
- Approved clinician status is desired but not essential
