About the Role

As a Capital Markets Associate, you will play a key role in driving the company’s growth through securitization structuring, capital modeling, and investor engagement. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will assist in executing securitization transactions, optimizing deal structures, and developing detailed pricing models for RMBS/ABS products. You’ll prepare investor presentations, perform market analysis, and respond to inquiries, leveraging your technical expertise and financial acumen to deliver innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a passion for tackling complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in aspects of structuring and execution of a securitization transaction by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (investors, investment banks, rating agencies and legal counsel).
  • Perform structure optimization, pricing and execution analysis.
  • Assist in maintenance of RMBS market and comparable issuer analysis and presentation materials used in investor meetings, updates and proposals.
  • Develop deep familiarity with transaction legal documents and relevant stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with capital markets, credit, product teams to enhance Figure’s pricing for new and existing loan products.
  • Run cashflow models using Excel/Intex for various RMBS/ABS asset classes, including rating agency stresses to understand impact to Figure’s profitability.
  • Develop an understanding of modeling tools, rating agency framework, and investor feedback to provide structural ideas/optimization for Figure’s new issues.
  • Regular execution analysis of RMBS/ABS debt transactions in the broader market.
  • Help prepare pitch and marketing materials for both internal and external use and in discussions with investors, rating agencies, and other interested parties.
  • Participate in meetings with sophisticated bond investors and respond to all investor queries.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related technical field. A Master's in a technical degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant position, or strong quantitative modeling background.
  • Proficiency in Python or other programming languages, with a focus in financial applications.
  • Understanding the general loan markets.
  • Understanding of RMBS/ABS market, deal structures, cashflow modeling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Salary

  • Compensation Range: $93,500 - $112,200
  • 25% bonus target
  • Equity stock options package
  • This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
