The Business Applications Support Technician is the frontline support professional responsible for providing initial assistance to internal users experiencing issues across various systems. This position involves troubleshooting a variety of technical problems, managing support tickets, and guiding users through step-by-step resolutions. The specialist will escalate more complex issues to higher tier support while ensuring a seamless support experience. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, a customer service mindset, and will be continuously seeking to update their technical knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide internal, on-going system/technical support to users with regards to Business Applications systems
  • Monitor and follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Update ticket status and information as needed.
  • Apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to guide and assist internal users
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support, or to the appropriate personnel, while ensuring a smooth transition and clear communication
  • Monitor internal systems for trending problems/issues that could affect multiple users
  • Work closely with other staff members to provide a seamless support experience and ensure comprehensive support coverage

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in information technology or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in similar or related position
  • Can demonstrate technical troubleshooting and analysis ability
  • Experience with Salesforce, Netsuite, or Workday preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Collaborative and team work skills
