We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our finance team in Norwalk, CT. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoices, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Review and verify billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices.
- Maintain and update customer billing information in the system.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper revenue recognition and reporting.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to billing and accounts receivable.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of billing processes and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with billing software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
