About the role

The Associate Scientist II/III, Biobanking will be responsible for the generation, culture, cryopreservation, and QC of iPSC banks from patient cell lines. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary setting and collaborate with coworkers to execute manual and automated cell culture methods, high throughput biochemical and cellular assays, and genetic characterization of cell lines. Furthermore, they will contribute to the development of novel automated cell culture methods as well as high throughput QC assays. The candidate will work closely with a team of multidisciplinary scientists to enable key downstream assays/models and studies to feed into a diverse portfolio of therapeutic area research into neurological and metabolic disorders. You will:

  • Culture immortalized, primary, and iPS cells 
  • Develop and execute automated cell culture methods
  • Execute cell based assays and report data in a clear and concise manner using an electronic lab notebook system
  • Collaborate with colleagues on multi-disciplinary project teams to provide scientific/technical contributions and deliver project goals

You are:

You have:

  • BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or a relevant field, with a minimum of three years of cell culture experience
  • Experience in aseptic cell culture techniques
  • The ability to maintain precise documentation
  • Experience in iPSC culture (preferred)
  • A desire to transform drug discovery and help patients
Compensation & Benefits at insitro
 
Our target starting salary for successful US-based applicants for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity. We may also adjust this range in the future based on market data. 
 
This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Performance Bonus Plan (based on company targets by role level and annual company performance) and our Equity Incentive Plan, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies.
