As an Area Manager at Getir, you will lead multiple gstores in your area, ensuring that they are performing at the highest standards.

The role of an Area Manager is to lead District Managers and Franchisees to deliver high performing stores with an exceptional customer experience. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves when required and get stuck in. We want visible leaders who can analyze their KPIs as well as motivate their team. District Managers and Franchisees rely on Area Managers, looking to them for clear direction, strategy and leadership. You will track performance and create a rapport of strong relationships with franchisees, district managers and gStore teams. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Visit your stores daily and set objectives and targets with your District Managers and Franchisees.
  • Ensure the company’s operational standards are maintained at all times; such as cleanliness, freshness, availability and great customer service.
  • Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the staff and visitors in our gstores.
  • Monitor all legal obligations in accordance with H&S, alcohol licensing, Trading Law and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Support your District Managers and Franchisees to recruit, train and develop their teams.
  • Collaborate with and mentor your District Managers and Franchisees on their store performance.
  • Help your District Managers and Franchisees problem-solve and address any issues they escalate to you.
  • Implement full compliance with the Company’s disciplinary & grievance procedure.
  • Lead and motivate your team to work to their full potential every day in accordance with our Leadership & Company Principles.
  • Create an environment where colleagues can produce their best work and overarching support of mentoring and developing teams.
  • Work towards a productive routine and aim to add value to each store on every visit.
  • Ensure all data held about individuals is data protection compliant.
  • The Area Manager may be required to carry out duties other than those described above whenever it becomes necessary to ensure that the business continues to function successfully.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years experience in an Area Manager role in Retail/FMCG/Hospitality
  • Experience managing franchises is desirable but not essential
  • Having previously managed a team of 20+ people
  • A confident, decisive communication style and the ability to motivate your team
  • Proven talent for meeting and excelling performance targets including turnover, wastage, inventory and productivity
  • HR related duties include recruiting new employees, delivering training, and managing personnel/payroll tasks
  • The ability to understand complex reports and put the necessary actions in place
  • Previous experience of managing P&Ls
  • An involvement in merchandising and an understanding of merchandising concepts
  • Proficient in G-Suite/Microsoft Office
  • A sound understanding of Trading Law within a retail environment
