Key Account Manager
$80,000 – $90,000
Pod Foods is a disruptive food-tech startup focused on the B2B food supply chain. We are based in Texas, with operations in multiple cities across the country including Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Our vision is to create a food distribution marketplace driven by data and technology so that grocery stores will better meet their consumers’ preferences, replacing mass-market inventory with the products that consumers want.
We are seeking an Account Manager to serve and grow exciting grocery accounts nationwide. This work involves representing emerging food brands on the Pod Foods platform, a technology-enabled, data-driven distribution solution for the most innovative and essential grocery accounts in the US. You will report directly to the VP of Business Development. You will primarily work remotely but may attend in person meetings/appointments/events with grocery buyers and executives.
We are looking for someone outgoing and detail-oriented with excellent relationship skills, ingenuity, a strong understanding of the food industry, and the ability to self-start. Understanding and being passionate about the problem Pod Foods is solving is crucial – we are here to revolutionize the CPG supply chain.

Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of sales or account management work in the grocery industry
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data. Must have basic MS Office Skills, particularly in MS Excel
- Great at building relationships and understanding customer needs
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt and move fast inside an always-evolving company
- Knowledge of the CPG/grocery industry and willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast growing marketplace, food delivery service, CPG company or both
- Experience with grocery industry as a broker, distributor, retailer or food manufacturer
- Passion for clean-label, innovative brands
- Positive attitude, quick learner
- Desire to lead and motivate buyers to get on board with the best
