What we are looking for:

MasterClass is looking for a Social Media Manager to oversee the day-to-day publishing, reporting, and community management of its social media channels. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, highly creative and data-driven strategic thinker, with meticulous attention to detail, who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.  

Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Daily engagement with MasterClass members across all owned social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Lead day-to-day content strategy and publishing of content to owned social media channels.
  • Actively listen and monitor social conversations across owned channels and the larger social web to stay abreast of social, technology and behavioral trends to inform our social media strategy.
  • Track and identify new opportunities for MasterClass to participate in real-time opportunities, pop culture moments, and trending topics.
  • Partner with community and support teams to assist with resolving customer inquiries and identify potential issues that require escalation and involvement of the legal team.
  • Execute real-time activations, campaigns and other events as needed.
  • Manage external agency partners and influencers for ongoing marketing programs and seasonal campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years experience managing social media channels, preferably for a consumer or entertainment brand. Agency experience is a plus.
  • Experience with community management across multiple social channels, supporting integrated brand marketing campaigns with solid experience using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Khoros Marketing and Analytics software a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, copy-editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A genuine team player with solid interpersonal skills.
