Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Description:

Anaplan is looking to hire an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join its Accounting team. This is a crucial role that will assist in overseeing general accounting operations in a fast paced and evolving environment. This role will be responsible for supporting and scaling the month-end close process, SOX compliance control execution and quarterly / annual audit process, as well as identifying and driving project-based work to provide process efficiencies for the general ledger team. The candidate should expect to leverage current skillsets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes. This role will be reporting to the Accounting Manager.



  • Assist in daily general ledger operations for the majority of financial statement processes
  • Assist in managing the monthly close process and reconciliations such as Partner Fees accounting, Finance Leases, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Accruals, and various other areas
  • Assist in managing portions of the balance sheet flux analysis
  • Assist in managing external audit, including preparation and ongoing support
  • Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested
  • Ensuring compliance with key controls & accurate GAAP reporting and fulfilling internal and external reporting requirements
  • Support scaling our processes through automation by working on system implementations and enhancements, including the utilization of Anaplan for the accounting team


 Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting (mix of public accounting/Big 4 and industry experience a plus)
  • CPA, CA or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines
  • Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must
  • Accounting research and problem-solving skills required
  • Highly detail oriented and ability to multi-task is a valuable asset
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have significant experience in Microsoft applications; Workday experience and/or experience with major ERP (i.e. Oracle/SAP/NetSuite) is a plus
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
