Job description

The RealReal seeks a Retail Marketing Manager, who will be act as the lead strategist to drive visits to our world-class stores and Luxury Consignment Offices. As part of Strategic Initiatives team, you will join a group dedicated to big-vision thinking, seeing around industry corners, and best-in-industry innovation. This role is exciting for someone looking to hone experience as a head of marketing, in charge of developing the right holistic strategy to drive awareness and traffic to our locations, with an eye on revenue conversion goals. You’ll be challenged to convert our offline base to therealreal.com by finding the right message and channels to grow our loyal online community. Your work will directly plug into TRR’s KPIs. As you work closely with colleagues from our Acquisition, Retention, and Brand Marketing teams (as well as Merchandising, Sales, Operations, Product & Technology), you will develop a broad toolkit as a business leader. The ideal candidate is proactive with new ideas to keep improving, quantitative in their approach and reporting, and can multitask seamlessly. With 10 locations and growing, it will never be boring!

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Deliver on traffic, customer, and consignor goals, a direct contributor to TRR’s rapid growth
  • Find the right marketing initiatives -- the right message, audience, medium -- to make sure our four client segments (new & repeat, customers & consignors) know about our first-class brick & mortar services and experience. This may include amplifying existing initiatives as well as digging into opportunities in the end-to-end client journey, all while managing to potential budget and technology resource constraints.
  • Develop the right post-store experience to maintain brand engagement and drive Brick & Mortar visitors online to become TRR loyalists. Support TRR’s strong repeat rate.
  • Create and own a marketing plan to back into store traffic and revenue goals
  • Propose and constantly track data-based KPIs to monitor performance. You identify what’s working, where there is opportunity, and how to seize it!

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
  • 6+ years experience working in B2C startup marketing & 3+ years in local retail marketing with foot traffic goals.
  • Business development and partnership experience a plus
