At Anaplan, we are looking for a self-motivated Software Engineering Manager for the global Cloud Engineering CI/CD team in San Francisco. You'll lead a team of talented engineers who have a strong mission to create frictionless, easy to use build, and deploy pipelines for Anaplan's services in support of our engineers.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Lead a team of high-performance software engineers who support continuous build and delivery systems and services for our internal product teams.
  • Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and coaching to your team. 
  • Ensure the team has the context, vision, skills, and tools they need to ship the right software.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment where everyone will thrive and grow.
  • Grow individuals with career planning and advancement opportunities.
  • Plan and execute software development projects within and across teams.
  • Be responsible for the health and growth of our CI/CD platform and tools.
  • Develop effective partnerships within your team and other groups at Anaplan.


More about you:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer 
  • 2+ years of technical and management leadership 
  • Knowledge of contemporary people management methods.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Experience leading teams through change.
  • Experience shipping SaaS software.
  • Experience with Java, Groovy, Python, and Golang 
  • Experience working Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines, Spinnaker/Harness 
  • Experience with containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Jenkins, and Helm is a plus.
