About this role:

The iRhythm Software Engineering team is looking for a strong candidate to join the team in its' San Francisco, CA location. As a manager of iRhythm’s Software Engineering team you will have the opportunity to help drive the execution of design and development initiatives for a suite of clinical tools that iRhythm relies on to review and classify arrhythmia in ECG recordings, focused on quality, usability, and efficiency improvements. This position provides an opportunity to work with a talented team on a diverse, innovative set of SaaS based solutions within the medical device/software industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, manage, and grow software engineering team members.
  • Drive design and development of iRhythm’s ECG Analysis platform and reports.
  • Lead decisions on changes including technologies used, code and application architecture, and workflow and UI decisions.
  • Collaborate with members of the clinical team, product designers, and peer engineers to build creative and pragmatic designs that result in new features as well as quality, usability and efficiency enhancements.
  • Work with peer R&D managers to help define project content, timeline, resources, and risks.
  • Participate in implementing and refining software development processes, methodologies, and tools.

About you:

  • 10+ years software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years desktop application development experience (NetBeans, Swing).
  • 5+ years web service development (SOAP, REST).
  • 5+ years Java development experience.
  • Experience as either a manager or a technical lead.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, or related technical field.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience building desktop applications used to process large data sets that require a high degree of user interaction.
  • Experience developing ECG analysis software.
  • Any experience working in a FDA regulated environment a plus.
