The Head of Global Sales Strategy & Operations will be responsible for building and managing a team of Sales Strategy & Operations professionals who are focused on maintaining the rhythm of business activities, reporting to the Head of Revenue.

The Impact You’ll Make

The Head of Global Sales Strategy & Operations will play a critical role in the Nextdoor Revenue organization. This person is responsible for identifying and reporting on key sales performance indicators and market opportunity and using those findings to influence the strategic agenda for the revenue organization. The scope of this role includes business planning, financial planning, market segmentation, pipeline assessment, coverage optimization, and ongoing performance measurement and reporting. Deliverables take the form of reporting, strategic recommendations, and operational execution that creates leverage and drives our growth.

The successful candidate has strong business acumen, can flex between strategy and operations, works collaboratively, communicates effectively, thrives in a fast-pace environment, gets things done and sets a high excellence bar. 

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Establish and maintain operational excellence across all revenue functions to ensure the health of the business on achieving key performance metrics including forecast accuracy, funnel analysis, and pipeline management
  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of our business and develop a deep understanding of key value drivers to identify growth opportunities. Develop key insights for executive-level presentations and drive critical business decisions
  • Drive cross-functional critical initiatives to accelerate productivity across the field to achieve overall company objectives
  • Partner with leaders across Nextdoor to create business strategies and build business cases for potential investments (e.g., country business plans). Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and drive the "follow-through" of those recommendations to ensure smooth execution with a diverse array of cross-functional partners
  • Partner with Finance and Strategy to build models that forecast near and long-term sales revenue, profit, and ROI
  • Drive fiscal planning and execution, including recommending organizational structure, financial goal setting, quota setting, and market segmentation
  • Support executive deliverables such as Board Reviews, Exec QBRs, and more

What You’ll Bring to The House

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior sales strategy & operations role, or similar. Prior experience with a fast-growth tech company highly preferred
  • Experience with leading/building global teams and managing 10+ people teams
  • Strong business acumen and analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • A strong ability to gather and use data strategically to create improvements and influence others
  • Ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment requiring new perspectives and creative approaches. Able to see the big-picture while also being hands-on and in the details
  • Always focused on doing what's right for the business. Willing to take on the tough projects and challenges to support the growth of the business
  • Sets goals and drives to fulfillment. Takes responsibility for actions and for outcomes
  • Able to speak in front of senior audiences as well as write clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present technical content to general audiences.
